It's a good thing they are so cute. See the pair of the leather chairs in my living room? They are by Mitchell Gold, amazingly comfortable, and the leather is incredibly soft. Perfect for kitten claws.

They aren't scratching the furniture intentionally (relief), but all the running and scrambling over the chairs has resulted in an increasing number of nicks and marks. The chairs will need to be re-upholstered at some point and I can either spend the next few months watching their condition deteriorate, or I can start the fabric search now and then and move on to other things.
Guess which of those two options I'm going with!

Be very careful with the second one from the top - that weave might be too tempting for those little paws. I love the second one from the bottom. Don't keep us in suspense for too long.
hey -- still need to respond to your e-mail about this! sorry about that.
Melissa- good point. I don't get anywhere if I still have to sticky tape the new fabric to keep them off.
Jennifer- no worries! it will likely take me two months to decide on a fabric!
I'm guessing the last fabric! Love the color!
How darling are they?! Hard to be mad at those cute little faces.
I agree with Freckles Chick...the patter would look lovely with your sofa!
I love the first and second to last.
I use a man in Ensley. He's great and super cheap. I used him for a chair- and a friend just used him for her sofa... he does good work! My chair was $100 and her sofa was only $300.
Too cute! I'm going to guess fifth!
blueprint Bliss - Can you leave another comment with the upholsterer in Ensley?? I have been looking for someone who is reasonably priced and does good work!!
They are so cute!! I so wish the BF was not allergic and I would have a bunch of my own too- love kittens :)
